Janie Ottwell is the Client Services Coordinator and Legal Assistant at Misteli Law Firm. She works closely with clients and their families to make the estate planning process smooth, approachable, and stress-free. As the first point of contact, she guides clients with empathy and clear communication, while coordinating with Tom Misteli to keep everything organized and on track. Her goal is to create a welcoming and supportive experience that helps clients feel confident about their estate planning decisions.

Before transitioning into the legal field, Janie built a successful career in advertising and graphic design, where she developed a strong eye for detail and a client-centered approach to communication. She brings those skills into her work today, helping translate complex legal concepts into clear, accessible information for clients.

Janie earned a Paralegal Certificate from Texas Christian University in March 2025 and is currently working toward her Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Dallas College. She has been a Texas Notary since 2025.
